"Windows cannot load your profile because it may be corrupted" error message I have also tried system restore to an earlier date, but this has not effect.Īny help would be much appreciated! ThanksĮrror Message: "Windows Cannot Load the Locally Stored Profile" I cannot load any profile on the computer, so it's not a corruption of a certain profile. I proceeded to disable all startup programs located in C:/Program Files/., but the problem was still there (I didn't touch the startups located in the Windows folder). I don't know if that has anything to do with this problem.īecause I can use Safe Mode, I think there must be something wrong with my startup applications. Previously, my sound card (Sigmatel High Definition Audio Codec) did not load on startup, and I would have to go through device manager to uninstall, and reinstall it for it to work. I read through some pages on the net where people had suggested a problem with Avast! (which I too had recently downloaded), so I unistalled that, but the problem persists. I also ran Uniblue Registry Booster, and cleaned up all of these errors. I can use the computer as an Admin on Safe Mode, and on the occasion that the profile did start up, I ran SAS, MLAM, and an Avast! scan. Most of the time it will stay stuck, but now and then my profile will eventually load. XP doesn't seem to load any profiles on my computer, and stays stuck at the 'loading you personal settings' screen.
